RESOLUTION sponsored by the Board of Commissioners congratulating the Mother McAuley Girls Volleyball Team
Body
WHEREAS, Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School (Mother McAuley) is a Catholic school located on the southwest side of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, founded in 1846, Mother McAuley was the first chartered all girl school in the City of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Mother McAuley girls volleyball team, affectionately known as the Mighty Macs, won their seventeenth Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state girls volleyball title. This title officially makes the Mighty Macs the team with the most state championship titles in the IHSA; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on behalf of ourselves and our staff, do hereby congratulate the Mother McAuley Girls Volleyball Team; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and that a copy of same, suitably engrossed, be presented to the Mother McAuley Girls Volleyball Team.
