Body

Dear Sir:

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 23-621-11, Rehabilitation of Raw Sewage Pump Rotating Assemblies at Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

The purpose of this contract is to rehabilitate raw sewage pump rotating assemblies and a gate valve. There will be three groups: Group A for the raw sewage pump rotating assemblies in the North Service Area, Group B for the raw sewage pump rotating assemblies in the Calumet and Stickney Service Areas, and Group C for the gate valve at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant. Separate contracts could be awarded for each group.

The estimated cost of this contract is $7,194,300.00. The estimated 2024, 2025, and 2026 expenditures are $2,532,950.00, $2,785,100.00, and $1,876,250.00, respectively.

The bid deposit for this contract is $290,000.00.

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will not be included in this contract because the work will be performed off-site at the contractor’s facility.

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because there are no MBE/WBE/VBE firms available to perform the scope of work.

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
