Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 22-903-21, Centrifuge Improvements at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

This purpose of this contract is to replace process control equipment for the Post Digestion Centrifuge Facility at the Stickney Water Reclamation.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is $5,451,597.00. The estimated 2024, 2025, and 2026 expenditures are $2,000,000.00, $3,351,597.00, and $100,000.00, respectively.

 

The bid deposit for this contract is $218,000.00.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is classified as “Electrical” for establishing utilization goals. The individual goals for this contract are 13% Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and 7% Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE).

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                          March 20, 2024

Bid Opening                        April 23, 2024

Award                                                               July 11, 2024

Completion                          December 31, 2026

 

Funds are available in 2024, in Account 201-50000-645750. Funds for the subsequent years 2025 and 2026, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 22-903-21.
