Report on advertisement for Request for Qualifications 18-RFQ-01, Qualifications for Outside Counsel Legal Services

Dear Sir:
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) documents have been prepared for Qualifications for Outside Counsel Legal Services, at the request of the Law Department.
The objective of this RFQ is to create a pool of qualified attorneys and law firms to represent the District and perform legal services in various areas of law on an as-needed basis. There are thirteen (13) categories which represent the various areas of legal practice relevant to the District’s corporate purpose and operations.
The selected Proposers may provide legal consultation and representation services on an as-needed basis. The areas of law include the following:
1. Affirmative Action
2. Bankruptcy
3. Civil Appeals
4. Contracts
5. Employment
6. Energy Procurement and Sales
7. Environmental Law
8. Intellectual Property
9. Litigation, including Constitutional Law, Construction Law, Personal Injury, and Property Damage
10. Municipal Law
11. Products Liability
12. Real Estate, including Condemnation, Foreclosure, and Remediation
13. Tax
