Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for television inspection and recording of sewers and manholes at various locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this contract is to obtain visual inspections of sewers and manholes to assess their condition and verify operation on an "as-needed" basis for a two-year period.
The estimated cost for this contract is $1,187,000.00. The estimated 2012, 2013 and 2014 expenditures are $440,000.00, $456,000.00 and $291,000.00, respectively.
The bid deposit for this contract is $59,350.00.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement was not included in this contract because the classification of work does not fall within the provisions of the MPLA.
Revised Appendix D will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is within the "Miscellaneous Contract Work" category for establishing PCE utilization goals. The PCE utilization "tailored goals," for this contract, are 5% Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and/or Women's Business Enterprises (WBE) and 5% Small Business Enterprises (SBE).

Funds for the current year are available in Account 101-67000/68000/69000-612600. Funds for subsequent years, 2013 and 2014, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners' approval of the District's budget for those years.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 12-657-11.
