Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 26-653-11, Underground Infrastructure Cleaning at Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of this contract is to provide services to clean sewers and related infrastructure to maintain conveyance capacity.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is not to exceed $2,809,800.00. The estimated 2026, 2027, and 2028 expenditures are $209,800.00, $1,500,000.00 and $1,100,000.00, respectively.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D and Appendix V will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under this contract is within the “Construction Services” category for establishing Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (VBE) utilization goals. The individual goals for this contract are 9% MBE and/or WBE, and 3% VBE.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                          May 6, 2026

Bid Opening                     June 2, 2026

Award                                                               July 16, 2026

Completion                      December 31, 2028

 

Funds for 2026 are available in Account 101-66000-612600. Funds for the subsequent years, 2027 and 2028, are contingent upon the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 26-653-11.
