Dear Sir:

 

Request for proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for Contract 20-RFP-06 Professional Services to Furnish, Deliver and Deploy a Process Optimization Platform for the Kirie Water Reclamation Plant in Des Plaines, Illinois, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of this request for proposal is to obtain professional services to develop and employ a process optimization platform which will enhance treatment efficiency by reducing chemical usage for headwork odor control. The consultant will also be utilized to develop models for optimizing chemical usage for disinfection at the Kirie Water Reclamation Plant. 

 

The estimated cost for this RFP is $120,000.00. The estimated 2020 and 2021 expenditures are $60,000.00 each year, respectively.

 

No bid deposit is required for this Proposal.

 

The Affirmative Action Appendix A will be included in this RFP. The WBE, MBE and SBE utilization goals for this RFP are: 20% Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), 10% Women Business Enterprises (WBE) and 10% Small Business Enterprises (SBE). Appendix V is not included.

 

The tentative schedule for this request for proposal is as follows:

Completion                                           December 31, 2021

 

Funds are available in 2020 in account 101-67000-612650. Funds for subsequent year, 2021, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners approval of the District’s budget for that year.
