Authority to advertise Contract 21-RFP-06, Environmental Attributes Services Provider

Dear Sir:
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for Contract 21-RFP-06, Environmental Attributes Services Provider, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of the RFP is to partner with an environmental attributes services provider to register and sell renewable energy credits (RECs) and to develop a strategy to maximize the monetary compensation to the District, for a period of three years, with an option to extend for two additional years.
The RFP does include an option to purchase RECs. A separate Board approval will be sought for procurement of any RECs.
No bid deposit is required for this proposal.
Appendix A and Appendix V will not be included since there are no direct costs to the District. The successful Proposer will be compensated through their activities related to the purchase and sales of RECs.
The tentative schedule for this request for proposal is as follows:
Advertise July 21, 2021
Proposals received August 13, 2021
Award October 7, 2021
Completion October 7, 2024
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 21-RFP-06.
