Dear Sir:

 

Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for 23-RFP-17 Micro Market & Vending Services, at the request of General Administration. The contract specifications require that all work commence on or around April 1, 2024, and end thirty-six (36) months thereafter.

 

The purpose of this contract is to stock and sell prepackaged prepared food, food products, snacks, candy and non-alcoholic beverages at the Main Office Building, and the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant, as well as supply additional vending machines at other various District locations for employee purchases. 

 

The estimated cost for this RFP is $60,000.00.

 

A proposal deposit is not required for this RFP.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable due to the specialized nature of the services required.

 

Appendix A and Appendix V are not included because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                                               December 13, 2023

Proposals Received           January 12, 2024

Award                                                                                    February 22, 2024

Completion                                           March 31, 2027

 

Funds for 2024 are budgeted in Account 101-15000-612490. Funds for subsequent years 2025, 2026, and 2027 are contingent on the Board of Commissioners' approval of the District's budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 23-RFP-17.
