COMMITTEE ON PROCUREMENT

Mr. John P. Murray, Acting Executive Director

Title

Issue purchase order to Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc. to Furnish and Deliver Various Parts for the Distributed Control System (DCS) at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant, in an amount not to exceed $157,292.00, Account 101-69000-623070, Requisition 1638469

Body

Dear Sir:

Authorization is requested to issue a purchase order to Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc. to furnish and deliver various parts for the distributed control system (DCS) at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant. All parts will be delivered before December 31, 2025.

Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc., the sole source provider of the DCS parts, has submitted prices for the parts required. Inasmuch as Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc. is the only source of supply for the parts required, nothing would be gained by advertising for bids (Section 11.4 of the Purchasing Act).

Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc. is registered and in good standing with the State of Illinois.

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable because the requirement does not fall under the provisions of the MPLA.

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D and Appendix V are not included because Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc. is the sole provider of these parts.

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to issue a purchase order to Emerson Process Management Power & Water Solutions, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $157,292.00.

Funds are available in Account 101-69000-623070.

Requested, Pinakin V. Desai, Acting Director of Maintenance and Operations

Recommended, Darlene A. LoCascio, Director of Procurement and Materials Management, DAL:SEB:MS:dhk

Respectfully Submitted, Precious Brady-Davis, Chairperson Committee on Procurement
