Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to provide analyses on high strength organic material samples.  This contract begins approximately April 1, 2017 and ends March 31, 2018.

 

The purpose of this contract is to provide analyses and analytical reports utilizing USEPA methods for wastewater and industrial waste samples on an as-needed basis for the Analytical Laboratories Division, Stickney Analytical Laboratory and Calumet Analytical Laboratory.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is $25,000.00.

 

A bid deposit is not required for this contract.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement is not applicable to this contract because the classification of work does not fall within the provisions of the MPLA.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D, is not included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                     March 15, 2017

Bid Opening            March 28, 2017

Award                               April 20, 2017

Completion               March 31, 2018

 

Funds for the 2017 expenditure are available in Account 101-16000-612430.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 17-105-11.
