Authority to advertise Contract 24-696-11, Services of Tractor Mounted Paddle Aerators and Rotavators with Operators, estimated cost $6,847,500.00, Accounts 101-68000/69000-612520, Requisitions 1607880 and 1610004

Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 24-696-11, Services of Tractor Mounted Paddle Aerators and Rotavators with Operators, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The contract will provide services to aid the drying of biosolids. There will be two groups: Group A for LASMA and Group B for CALSMA. Separate contracts could be awarded for each group.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $6,847,500.00. The estimated 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 expenditures are $1,598,420.00, $2,282,500.00, $2,282,500.00, and $684,080.00, respectively.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D, and the Appendix V, will not be included in this contract due to the lack of available MBE/WBE/VBE participants that can perform the services.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                           February 21, 2024

Bid Opening                     March 12, 2024

Award                                                  April 4, 2024

Completion                      April 30, 2027

 

Funds are available in 2024, in Accounts 101-68000/69000-612520. Funds for the subsequent years, 2025, 2026, and 2027, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-696-11.
