The Chicago Tribune failed to advertise this contract on April 15, 2009, as requested by the District.  In accordance with the District’s Purchasing Act, the District must advertise these types of contracts in an English language newspaper of general circulation before an award can be made.  The Chicago Tribune has apologized for this error. The Maintenance and Operations Department will readvertise this contract as soon as possible.
