Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to provide preventive maintenance for Aries water systems. This contract is for three years and begins on approximately January 1, 2023 and expires December 31, 2025.
The purpose of this contract is to obtain preventive maintenance for seven Aries water systems in the Monitoring and Research Department’s Analytical Laboratories Division. These systems provide final cleaning of the water quality to produce Type I Reagent Grade water that is required to prepare analytical standards, reagents, Quality Control (QC) samples and prepare environmental samples for analysis. These units must be maintained on a regular basis and have the cartridges replaced to operate acceptably.
The estimated cost for this contract is $36,000.00. The estimated expenditures for 2023, 2024, and 2025 are $12,000.00, $12,000.00, and $12,000.00.
A bid deposit is not required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable because the classification of work does not fall under the provision of the MPLA.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D is not included in this contract because the estimate is less than the threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

Bid Opening November 29, 2022
Award December 15, 2022
Completion December 31, 2025
Funds for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 expenditures are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 23-107-11.
