MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR BOARD MEETING OF JUNE 20, 2019

MEMORIAL RESOLUTION sponsored by the Board of Commissioners honoring the memory of Xaiver DaiQuan Collins

Body

 

WHEREAS, Xaiver (Zay) DaiQuan Collins was born on July 5, 1998 to Aaron Collins and Darlina Bosley and grew up in North Chicago, Illinois; and

 

WHEREAS, Zay was a very kind and loving young man with a smile that could light up any room he entered; and

 

WHEREAS, he was passionate about his musical pursuit and desired to aspire in his dream and love for music; and

 

WHEREAS, Zay was very intelligent and blessed with a loving and playful spirit; and

 

WHEREAS, he enjoyed having intellectual conversations with adults, always respectfully expressing his values and views on debatable topics while standing firm on his opinions; and

 

WHEREAS, Zay enjoyed making people laugh but also knew how to comfort people in times of difficulty, often guiding people with his intellect and words of wisdom; and

 

WHEREAS, Zay enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, pulling pranks on his sisters, brothers, aunties and uncles and projecting his upbeat energy upon others; and

 

WHEREAS, his confidence, pursuit and drive were admired by many and his kindred spirit will be truly missed; and

 

WHEREAS, he had only just begun his most important job of being the world's greatest father to his precious newborn baby girl, Royalty Xzyah EdJanay Collins; and

 

WHEREAS, Xaiver is survived by his daughter and her mom Ed'Dreania Sims, his mother Darlina Bosley, his father and step-mother Aaron Collins and Rashada King, his great-grandmothers Georgia Mae Armstrong and Rosie Lee Bosley, his grandfather Jerry Bosley and grandmother Betty Collins, his sisters: Xtany Collins, Xzyah Collins, Armonie Collins, Amaya Collins, Aaryonna Collins, Dazyere Louis, Erin Collins, Aaryonna Collins, Aniesha Collins, Aaresha Collins, Aariyah Collins and his brothers Xavion Williams, Aareon Collins, Jahlen White, Shannon Marshall, Jahiere White, Anaji Collins, Jahlen White, Aaron Collins Jr., Garland Bone and Kenny Brown as well as a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins and loved ones; and

 

WHEREAS, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Brenda Jones and his paternal grandfather Albert (Chip) Giles; and

 

WHEREAS, Xaiver's untimely departure has placed a heavy, saddened burden upon the hearts of many but his smile will linger in the memories and hearts of the ones that love him forever more; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on behalf of ourselves and staff, extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Xaiver (Zay) DaiQuan Collins on the occasion of his untimely passing on May 4, 2019; and 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of Proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
