Authorization to allow the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to accept pricing for the procurement of Renewable Energy Credits for 2027 and 2028

Dear Sir:
Authorization is requested for the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to accept pricing for the procurement of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for 2027 and 2028. This approval is subject to an annual maximum allocation of $500,000.00 and contingent upon budget approval by the Board of Commissioners for both years. The District will use Contract 26-RFP-04, Environmental Attributes Services Provider, to procure these RECs.
Accordingly, it is requested that the Board of Commissioners authorize the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to accept pricing for REC procurement for 2027 and 2028, subject to the annual maximum allocation of $500,000.00. This authorization will remain valid through December 31, 2028.
