Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Furnish and Deliver Security Fence along the Collateral Channel.  This contract begins September 14, 2017, with a duration of 30 days.

 

The purpose of this contract is to build a fence along the north end of the Collateral Channel for safety purposes.  The proposed fence consists of approximately 260 linear feet of District standard 6-foot high chain-link fencing with posts and one (1) 4-foot wide pedestrian gate.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is between $16,000.00.

 

A bid deposit is not required for this contract.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

It is estimated this contract will employ two (2) personnel.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                     September 6, 2017

Bid Opening                     September 19, 2017

Award                     October 5, 2017

Completion                     November 7, 2017

 

Funds are available in Account 201-50000-645680.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 17-139-2F.
