Report on Baker Tilly US, LLP’s, Audit Planning Communication Letters of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retiree Health Care Trust

Dear Sir:
Pursuant to auditing standards, Baker Tilly US, LLP has provided the attached audit planning communication letters to the Board as those charged with governance of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago and of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retiree Health Care Trust.
The purpose of the audit planning communication letters is to provide those people charged with governance a two-way communication with the auditors and to also provide the audit work plan for the 2020 audit review. Since this is the first year of the new five-year audit contract the planning communication letters are being provided at the beginning of the audit. Going forward the audit planning communication letters will be included with the management letters and provided with the issuance of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports of the District and the Trust.
It is respectfully requested that the audit planning communication letters of the District and the Trust be received and ordered filed by the Clerk of the District.
