The North Branch Pumping Station is nearly 100 years old and requires structural rehabilitation in order to properly maintain the facility. The purpose of this project is to replace deteriorated concrete deck, stairs, and railings at the North Branch Pump Station (NBPS), replace flap gates and removable slabs in the Connecting Structure at Drop Shaft DS-91 adjacent to the NBPS, and to rehabilitate the pipe supports and dresser couplings for the discharge headers for Raw Sewage Pumps 1, 2, and 3 at the Kirie Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) pump station. The work at these locations will ensure the North Branch Pump Station, Drop Shaft DS-91, and Kirie WRP remain fully operational. All work will take place entirely on MWRD property.

The North Branch Pumping Station and DS-91 are located at 4860 N. Francisco Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. The Kirie WRP is located at 701 W Oakton St, Des Plaines, IL 60018.
