Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 21-645-11, Boiler Tuning and Maintenance Services at Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.
The purpose of this contract is to furnish boiler burner combustion tuning, maintenance services and replacement parts to maintain various District boilers for a three-year period.
The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $795,000.00. The estimated 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 expenditures are not to exceed $63,750.00, $265,000.00, $265,000.00 and $201,250.00, respectively.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V, will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is within the “Mechanical” category for establishing Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), Small Business Enterprises (SBE), and Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (VBE) utilization goals. The utilization goals for this contract are 20% MBE, 9% WBE, 10% SBE, and 3% VBE.

Completion September 30, 2024
Funds for 2021 are available in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612650/623070/623090. Funds for the subsequent years, 2022, 2023 and 2024, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 21-645-11.
