Title

Authority to grant a 25-year, 38,027.88 sq. +/- ft. non-exclusive easement to Prairie Power, Inc. to access, install, maintain, and operate electrical poles and transmission lines on District real estate located along the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad and N IL-100 Road in St. David, Fulton County, Illinois.  Consideration shall be an initial annual fee of $5,000.00

Dear Sir:

 

Prairie Power, Inc. (“Prairie Power”), an electric generation and transmission cooperative in central Illinois, has requested a 25-year, 38,027.88 +/- sq. ft. non-exclusive easement to access, install, maintain and operate electrical poles and transmission lines at the subject location to connect to Prairie Power’s adjacent electrical substation, which is located on its own land.    

 

The District’s technical departments have reviewed Prairie Power’s request and have no objections thereto.  An initial annual easement fee of $5,000.00 is recommended because 10% of the fair market value of the easement premises would yield a fee that is less than the District’s minimum easement fee of $5,000.00.

 

It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize the grant of a 25-year, 38,027.88 +/- sq. ft. non-exclusive easement to Prairie Power, Inc. to access, install, maintain, and operate electrical poles and transmission lines on District real estate located along the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad and N IL-100 Road in St. David, Fulton County, Illinois.  Consideration shall be an initial annual fee of $5,000.00.

 

It is also requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk be authorized and directed to execute said easement agreement after it is approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
