Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 23-653-11 Underground Infrastructure Cleaning at Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of this contract is to provide services to clean sewers and related infrastructure to maintain conveyance capacity.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is not to exceed $2,250,000.00. The estimated 2023, 2024 and 2025 expenditures are $750,000.00, $750,000.00 and $750,000.00, respectively.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under this contract is within the “General Construction Services” category for establishing Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE) and Small Business Enterprises (SBE) utilization goals. The tailored utilization goals for this contract are 3% MBE and/or WBE and 3% SBE.

 

The tentative schedule for this Contract is as follows:

Advertise                                                               October 26, 2022

Bid Opening                                                      November 22, 2022

Award                                                                       December 15, 2022

Completion                                                         December 31, 2025

 

Funds for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 expenditures in Account 101-66000-612600 are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 23-653-11.
