Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver miscellaneous electrical supplies, wire, and cable to various locations for a one (1) year period, beginning approximately July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024.

 

The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver electrical supplies, wire, and cable to the District’s storeroom, to maintain sufficient inventory levels, that are required for the day to day operational needs of the District.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is as follows: 

 

    Group A-Outlet boxes and conduit:                      $80,000.00

    Group B-Wire:                     $75,000.00

    Group C-Wire lugs and connectors:                     $37,000.00

    Group D-Heaters, switches and fuses:                     $47,000.00

    Group E-Ballasts and fixtures:                     $20,000.00

    Group F-Electrical cable:                     $47,000.00

    Group G-Transformers, motors and markers:                     $30,000.00

    Group H-Boxes and breakers:                     $75,000.00

                     Total                     $411,000.00

No bid deposit is required for this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V will not be included in this contract because the estimate, per each individually awarded group of the contract, is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

 

Advertise                     March 15, 2023

Bid Opening                     April 11, 2023

Award                     June 1, 2023

Completion                     June 30, 2024

 

Funds are available in Accounts 101-20000-623070, 623170, 623190, 623250, 623680, 623850.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 23-017-11.
