Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver miscellaneous steel and stainless steel to various locations for a one (1) year period, beginning approximately July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024.

 

The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver miscellaneous steel and stainless steel to the District’s storeroom, to maintain sufficient inventory levels, that are required for the day to day operational needs of the District.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is as follows:

                     Group A-Structural steel sheet, flats:                                                                                     $53,000.00

                     Group B-Structural steel round, angle:                                                                                     $40,000.00

                     Group C-Structural steel round, square, angle:                                             $83,000.00

                     Group D-Structural steel strip, plate, grating:                                                    $77,000.00

                     Group E-Stainless steel, flat, sheet, plate:                                                               $85,000.00

                     Total                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 $338,000.00

No bid deposit is required for this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D will not be included in this contract because the estimate, per each individually awarded group of the contract, is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

 

Advertise                                          March 15, 2023

Bid Opening                        April 11, 2023

Award                                                               June 1, 2023

Completion                                          June 30, 2024

 

Funds are available in Account 101-20000-623030, 623130.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 23-004-11.
