Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 24-627-11, Repairs to Air Compressors and Air Dryers at Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of this contract is to provide repair services and replacement parts to maintain air compressors and air dryers at various locations for a three-year period.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $154,400.00. The estimated 2024, 2025, and 2026 expenditures are $52,200.00, $52,200.00, and $50,000.00, respectively. 

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D, will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is within the “Mechanical” category for establishing utilization goals for Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (VBE). The utilization goals for this contract are 20% MBE and/or WBE.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Bid Opening                                          November 7, 2023

Award                                                               January 4, 2024

Completion                                           December 31, 2026

 

Funds for 2024, 2025, and 2026 will be requested in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612600/612650 and are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-627-11.
