Body
Dear Sir:
Prairie Power, Inc. (“Prairie Power”), an electric cooperative located in central Illinois, has requested a 25-year, 28.37-acre non-exclusive easement to construct, operate, maintain, reconstruct, repair, replace and remove electrical power lines to connect its existing substations south of the City of Canton and the Village of St. David in Fulton County, Illinois. The substations themselves are located on non-District property owned by Prairie Power; the easement is needed for the connecting transmission lines.
The District’s technical departments have reviewed Prairie Power’s request for a 25-year easement and have no objections thereto. Consideration shall be an initial annual fee of $20,528.00, which represents 10% of the site’s appraised fair market value.
It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize the grant of a 25-year, 28.37-acre non-exclusive easement to Prairie Power, Inc. to construct, operate, maintain, reconstruct, repair, replace and remove electrical power lines to connect its existing substations south of the City of Canton and the Village of St. David in Fulton County, Illinois. Consideration shall be an initial annual fee of $20,528.00.
It is also requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk be authorized and directed to execute said easement agreement after it is approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
