Dear Sir:
On June 15, 2023, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to advertise for bids Contract 23-682-11, Chemical Grouting Services.
In response to a public advertisement of August 2, 2023, a bid opening was held on August 22, 2023. The bid tabulation for this contract is:
NATIONAL POWER RODDING CORPORATION $408,250.00
A review of the bid submitted by National Power Rodding Corp. by the Maintenance and Operations Department has indicated that the bid is considered too high over the estimate. The sole bid received is approximately 353% over the estimate.
Therefore, the Director of Procurement and Materials Management has notified National Power Rodding Corp. that their bid is rejected based on the above information and in the public’s best interest.
The Maintenance and Operations Department will review and revise the contract prior to re-advertising.
