Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 24-617-11, Furnish and Deliver Refurbished Low Voltage AC and DC Motors to Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.


The purpose of this contract is to repair low-voltage AC and DC motors at the Calumet, O’Brien, and Stickney Water Reclamation Plants.

 

The estimated cost of this contract is not to exceed $384,800.00. The estimated 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 expenditures are $111,200.00, $91,200.00, $91,200.00, and $91,200.00, respectively.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement will not be included in this contract because the work is performed at the contractor’s facility. Any installation will be performed by District trades.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D and Appendix V will not be included because there are no subcontracting opportunities in the contract.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                                 March 20, 2024

Bid Opening                                April 30, 2024

Award                                                                       July 11, 2024

Completion                                  December 31, 2027

 

Funds for 2024 are available in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612650. Funds for the subsequent years, 2025, 2026, and 2027, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-617-11.
