Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver work gloves to various locations for a one (1) year period, beginning approximately October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025.
The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver work gloves to the District’s storerooms to maintain sufficient inventory levels, which are required for the day-to-day operational needs of the District.
The estimated cost for this contract is as follows:
Group A - General Purpose Gloves $6,500.00
Group B - Liquid Proof/Cut Resistant Gloves $5,000.00
Group C - Leather/Goatskin Gloves $14,000.00
Group D - Coated Palm Gloves $17,000.00
TOTAL: $42,500.00
No bid deposit is required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable to this contract because it does not fall under the provisions of the MPLA.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V, will not be included in this contract because the estimate, per each individually awarded group of the contract, is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise July 17, 2024
Bid Opening July 30, 2024
Award September 5, 2024
Completion September 30, 2025
Funds are available in Account 101-20000-623700.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-049-11.
