Dear Sir:

 

Request for Proposal documents have been prepared for Contract 24-RFP-05 to perform Psychological Evaluations and Fitness for Duty Examinations for selected employees at the request of the Human Resources Department. This professional services contract will cover the period from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027.

 

The purpose of this contract is to select a vendor to evaluate District employees at the request of the Human Resources Department. The Psychological Evaluations and Fitness-For-Duty Examinations will be utilized in circumstances when an employee exhibits behaviors which may indicate that he or she may not be psychologically able to perform the essential functions of his or her position.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is $60,000.00.  The estimated 2025, 2026 and 2027 expenditures are $20,000.00, $20,000.00 and $20,000.00 respectively.

 

No bid deposit is required for this request for proposal.

 

The Diversity Section reviewed the request for proposal and concluded that Appendix A and Appendix V, will not be included in this contract because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                     July 31, 2024

Proposals Received                     August 30, 2024

Award                     November 21, 2024

Completion                     December 31, 2024

 

Funds are available in Account 101-25000-612260.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 24-RFP-05.
