Authority to advertise Contract 25-619-11, Lubricant Analysis and Testing, estimated cost $110,000.00, Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612240, Requisitions 1619811, 1619729, and 1619730

Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 25-619-11, Lubricant Analysis and Testing, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of the contract is to analyze and test lubricants used by the District.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $110,000.00. The estimated 2025, 2026, and 2027 expenditures are not to exceed $33,500.00, $38,500.00, and $38,000.00, respectively

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will not be included in this contract because the classification of work does not fall within the provisions of the MPLA. 

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D, will not be included in this contract due to lack of subcontractor availability.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                     January 15, 2025

Bid Opening                     February 11, 2025

Award                                          March 6, 2025

Completion                      December 31, 2027

 

Funds for 2025 are available in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612240. Funds for 2026 and 2027 are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 25-619-11.
