Dear Sir:

 

Request for Proposal (RFP) documents have been prepared for 25-RFP-10 Accessibility Audit and ADA Compliance Plan for Digital Platforms, at the request of the Public Affairs Section. The contract will begin when it is awarded and will expire upon the completion of the project, roughly five (5) months later.

 

The purpose of this contract is to procure the services of a qualified firm to conduct a comprehensive accessibility audit of the District’s official web presence and to produce an ADA compliance plan. The goal of this work is to identify specific steps the District must take to ensure web accessibility and ongoing compliance with ADA requirements as described in 28 CFR Part 35 and the Justice Department AG Order No. 5919-2024.

 

The estimated cost for this RFP is $75,000.00.

 

No bid deposit is required for this RFP.

 

Appendix A and Appendix V will not be included in this RFP because the estimate is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Award                                                                                    May 15, 2025

Completion                                                               September 30, 2025

 

Funds are available in Account 101-15000-612430.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 25-RFP-10.
