Authority to advertise Contract 25-647-11, Boiler Tuning and Maintenance Services at Various Locations, estimated cost $1,200,000.00, Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612650/623090, Requisitions 1632661, 1633436, and 1633437

Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 25-647-11, Boiler Tuning and Maintenance Services at Various Locations, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

The purpose of this contract is to provide maintenance services and replacement parts to maintain various District boilers for a three-year period.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $1,200,000.00. The estimated 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028 expenditures are $205,000.00, $450,000.00, $330,000.00, and $215,000.00, respectively. 

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D, will be included in this contract. The type of work to be performed under the contract is within the “Mechanical” category for establishing Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE) utilization goals. The tailored utilization goals for this contract are 5% MBE and/or WBE.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                                       March 12, 2025

Bid Opening                                    April 8, 2025

Award                                                               June 5, 2025

Completion                                           June 30, 2028

                    

Funds for 2025 are available in Accounts 101-67000/68000/69000-612650/623090.  Funds for the subsequent years, 2026, 2027, and 2028, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 25-647-11.
