Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver steel & stainless steel to various locations for a one (1) year period, beginning approximately July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026.
The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver steel & stainless steel to the District’s storerooms to maintain sufficient inventory levels, which are required for the day-to-day operational needs of the District.
The estimated cost for this contract is as follows:
Group A-Structural steel sheet, flats: $54,000.00
Group B-Structural steel round, tubing, angle: $19,000.00
Group C-Structural steel round, square, angle: $37,000.00
Group D-Structural steel strip, plate, grating: $42,000.00
Group E-Stainless steel, flat, sheet, plate: $40,000.00
TOTAL $192,000.00
No bid deposit is required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable to this contract because it does not fall under the provisions of the MPLA.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V, will not be included in this contract because the estimate, per each individually awarded group of the contract, is less than the minimum threshold established by Section 4 of the Affirmative Action Ordinance.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise April 16, 2025
Bid Opening May 6, 2025
Award June 26, 2025
Completion June 30, 2026
Funds are available in Accounts 101-20000-623030, 623130, 623090
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 25-004-11.
