Dear Sir:
At its meeting of October 16, 2025, the Board of Commissioners (“Board”) authorized the Director of Procurement and Materials Management to advertise Contract 25-362-11 to sell approximately 0.14± acres of District land located at 6861 North Milwaukee Avenue in Niles, Illinois. The minimum acceptable bid was established at $92,130.00.
At the November 18, 2025 bid opening, the sole bid was received from NP Riverbank, LLC (“NP”) with a bid of $95,000.00. NP has requested to purchase this vacant property to use as parking for a new development on adjacent property. The Village of Niles supports the sale of this property and NP’s development of the larger site. The District will be reserving a perpetual easement for access to District-owned facilities and infrastructure in the vicinity of the site.
It is requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it accept the bid for Contract 25-362-11 to sell approximately 0.14± acres of District land located at 6861 North Milwaukee Avenue in Niles, Illinois, from NP Riverbank, LLC in the amount of $95,000.00.
It is further requested that the Executive Director recommend to the Board of Commissioners that it authorize and direct the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and the Clerk to execute the real estate purchase contract, deed, and other related documents after they have been approved by the General Counsel as to form and legality.
