Dear Sir:
On October 10, 2025, Contract Worker, Robert Kucinski was driving a District truck at 1740 17th Avenue in Maywood, IL, when the truck’s boom struck the back of a vehicle driven by Michael Poe, and owned by Ernestine Poe. Ms. Poe’s vehicle sustained damage to the rear end and rear windshield.
Ms. Poe submitted a claim through her insurance carrier, Allstate Fire and Casualty Insurance Company. The claim for damages includes $10,411.46 for repairs, inclusive of a $1,000.00 deductible paid by Ms. Poe, and rental car fees in the amount of $510.00. The final amount to resolve the claim totals $10,921.46.
The Director of Human Resources believes this settlement is in the best interest of the District and requests payment in the amount of $10,921.46 be approved and he be authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary to effectuate the settlement.
