Requesting the advice and consent of the Board of Commissioners to the appointment of Edward J. Staudacher as the Director of Maintenance and Operations for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago

Dear Commissioners:
Section 2605/4 of Chapter 70, Illinois Compiled Statutes, states that the Executive Director, with the advice and consent of the Board of Commissioners, shall appoint the Director of Maintenance and Operations. I hereby request that the Board of Commissioners give me its advice and consent to the permanent appointment of Edward J. Staudacher as Director of Maintenance and Operations.
Mr. Staudacher began his career at the District on August 10, 1998, as an Assistant Civil Engineer in the Maintenance and Operations Department and progressed through the ranks to Deputy Director of Maintenance and Operations in 2025, as described in the attached resume.
It is a pleasure to make this appointment of a dedicated and proven member of the organization. Upon the consent of the Board of Commissioners, the effective date of the appointment is May 7, 2026.
