Dear Sir:
Contract documents and specifications have been prepared to furnish and deliver janitorial supplies, beginning approximately October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2029.
The purpose of this contract is to furnish and deliver janitorial supplies to the District’s storerooms to maintain sufficient inventory levels, which are required for the day-to-day operational needs of the District.
The estimated cost for this contract is $543,000.00 for a three-year period, and is broken out as follows:
Group A: Brushes, Brooms, Mops, Etc. $72,000.00
Group B: PortionPac $138,000.00
Group C: Skin Care Systems (DEB) $114,000.00
Group D: Janitorial Supplies $219,000.00
$543,000.00
No bid deposit is required for this contract.
The Multi-Project Labor Agreement (MPLA) is not applicable to this contract because it does not fall under the provisions of the MPLA.
The Affirmative Action Ordinance, Revised Appendix D and Appendix V, will not be included in this contract because it is primarily a furnish and deliver contract with no sub-contractable opportunities.
The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:
Advertise August 19, 2026
Bid Opening September 1, 2026
Award October 1, 2026
Completion September 30, 2029
Funds for the 2026 expenditures are available in Accounts 101-20000-623170, 623660. Funds for the subsequent years’ expenditures, 2027, 2028 and 2029 are contingent on the Board of Commissioner’s approval of the District’s budget for those years.
In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 26-006-11.
