Authority to advertise Contract 21-696-11, Services of Tractor Mounted Paddle Aerators and Rotavators with Operators, estimated cost $4,920,000.00, Accounts 101-68000/69000-612520, Requisitions 1546519 and 1546522

Dear Sir:

 

Contract documents and specifications have been prepared for Contract 21-696-11, Services of Tractor Mounted Paddle Aerators and Rotavators with Operators, at the request of the Maintenance and Operations Department.

 

This contract will provide services to aid the drying of biosolids.

 

The estimated cost for this contract is not to exceed $4,920,000.00. The estimated 2021, 2022, and 2023 expenditures are not to exceed $1,640,000.00, $1,640,000.00, and $1,640,000.00.

 

The Multi-Project Labor Agreement will be included in this contract.

 

The Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D, and the Appendix V, will not be included in this contract due to the limited availability of MBE/WBE/VBE/SBE participants and the specialization of the project.

 

The tentative schedule for this contract is as follows:

Advertise                                          January 27, 2021

Bid Opening                                          February 23, 2021

Award                                                               March 18, 2021

Completion                                           December 31, 2023

 

Funds are being requested in 2021, in Accounts 101-68000/69000-612520, and are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for that year. Funds for the subsequent years, 2022 and 2023, are contingent on the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the District’s budget for those years.

 

In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of Procurement and Materials Management be authorized to advertise Contract 21-696-11.
